Step 1: Create or Log In to HomeCampus Account

  1. Go to https://athleticclearance.fhsaahome.org/
  2. Click “Login” (top right)
  3. Select “Parent” and create an account if new
    • Use a parent or guardian email address
  4. Once logged in, add your student-athlete
  5. Link your account to “Pine School” and select the upcoming school year

Step 2: Start a New Athletic Clearance

  1. On the dashboard, click “Start Clearance Here”
  2. Select the following:
    • School Year (e.g., 2025–26)
    • School
    • Sport(s) the athlete will participate in
  3. Complete all required student and parent information fields
  4. Continue through each section by clicking “Next”

Step 3: Complete Required FHSAA Courses (NFHS Learning Center)

FHSAA requires all coaches to complete certification courses through the NFHS Learning Center:

  • Go to: https://nfhslearn.com
  • Create an account or log in
  • Complete the following free mandatory courses:
    1. Concussion in Sports
    2. Heat Illness Prevention
    3. Sudden Cardiac Arrest
    4. Protecting Students from Abuse
  • Download PDF certificates of completion for each course

Step 4: Upload Mandatory Required Documents

Upload the following FHSAA-required documents:

  1. FHSAA EL2 – Physical Form
    • Must be completed and signed by a licensed medical professional
    • Valid for 365 days from date of exam
  2. FHSAA EL3 – Consent Form
    • Signed by both student and parent/guardian
  3. Additional School Forms
    • Signed by both student and parent/guardian
  4. NFHS Certificates
  5. All documents should be scanned or photographed clearly and uploaded under the appropriate section

Step 5: Complete Required Signatures & Agreements

  • Digitally sign all parent/guardian and student acknowledgments, including:
    • FHSAA Consent and Release
    • Code of Conduct
    • Concussion/Heat Illness/Sudden Cardiac Arrest agreements
  • Use the e-signature fields provided in HomeCampus

Step 6: School Review and Clearance

  • Once all forms and signatures are submitted, the Pine School Athletic Department will review your submission
  • If approved, the athlete will be marked as “Cleared” for participation
  • If missing information or incorrect documents, you’ll receive a notification via email to correct it

Note: this process must be completed and the athlete marked as “Cleared” before the beginning of the first day of practice. Any athletes that have not completed this process will not be permitted to participate in practice/competition until completed.
