Contact Coach

Anthony DiGiovanni was introduced as the Boys Basketball Head Coach and Program Director for The Pine School in May of 2020. Since then he has led The Pine School to five consecutive winning seasons.  

This fall will mark Coach DiGiovanni’s 27th year working as a teacher and coach. His career began at famed St. Anthony High School in Jersey City under the tutelage of Naismith Hall of Fame Inductee Bob Hurley Sr. 

As a head coach, over 50 of his players have gone on to play in college and he has been named Coach of the Year four times (2025, 2010, 2008, and 2005).  

Collegiately, Coach DiGiovanni played quarterback at Colgate University where he was on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, two time Patriot League Champions, and appeared in the Division I FCS Tournament two times. 

Coach DiGiovanni was born and raised in New Jersey and is a graduate of Union High School, Colgate University (BA Economics, African American Studies), and St. Peter’s College (MA Educational Leadership).
