Assistant Athletic Director – Athletic Trainer – Cross Country Coach

Jon Garich brings a diverse and accomplished athletic background to our athletics program. A former NCAA Division II swimmer at Gannon University, Jon has continued to pursue excellence in endurance sports, currently coaching and actively competing in both triathlon and running events. In 2024, he earned the distinction of being named a USAT All-American Triathlete and proudly represented on the world stage at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships.

In addition to his endurance accolades, Jon is also a former NMA gold medalist in bodybuilding, showcasing a unique combination of strength and stamina. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a Master’s in Athletic Training, underscoring his commitment to athlete development and injury prevention.

Jon is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is currently pursuing his USA Track & Field coaching certification to further expand his coaching expertise. His passion for sport, combined with his academic background and competitive experience, makes him a valuable asset to our student-athletes and athletic community.
