Navigating the college recruiting process can be overwhelming for student-athletes and their families. At The Pine School, we are committed to supporting our students every step of the way. To provide expert insight and practical strategies, Jeff Shirk, Director of Athletics, and Kathleen Bracken, Director of College Guidance, host a Collegiate Recruiting Advisory Workshop designed to help student-athletes confidently pursue opportunities at the next level.
At our workshops, we cover several key areas to help students excel in the recruiting process. The seminar begins with an information-gathering discussion to help each student understand their individual goals and needs. From there, we will walk through the steps for creating a customized recruiting plan tailored to both athletic and academic aspirations. Students will receive guidance on:
- Building a compelling recruiting resume
- Crafting an effective highlight film to showcase their skills
- Setting up a recruit profile to increase visibility with college coaches
- Writing and sending initial outreach emails that make a strong first impression
This comprehensive approach provides the essential tools and knowledge needed to navigate the recruiting journey with clarity and confidence. In addition to the workshop, individual advising sessions are available for students and families seeking personalized guidance. These one-on-one meetings offer a more in-depth review of recruiting goals, timelines, and sport-specific strategies ensuring each student has a plan that aligns with their unique path.
