Non-Traditional Student-Athlete Eligibility Process

Thank you for your interest in participating in athletics at The Pine School.

Please review our PINE Non-Traditional Student-Athlete Eligibility Flow Chart, which outlines the steps that must be completed before a non-traditional student may participate in tryouts or team activities at PINE.

To begin the eligibility process, please complete the following:

• PINE/FHSAA Athletic Clearance – This process includes the required EL1, EL2 and EL3 forms.

• GA4 – Affidavit of Compliance with Policy on Athletic Recruiting

• EL16 and EL16V – Non-Traditional Student Registration and Verification Forms

Completed GA4 and EL16/EL16V forms can be emailed to jshirk@thepineschool.org and jgarich@thepineschool.org. Once everything has been submitted, our Athletic Department will review the documentation and confirm eligibility in accordance with FHSAA requirements and PINE policies.

There is also a $300 participation fee per sport for non-traditional student-athletes. Once the student has completed the eligibility process and has been cleared to participate, we will provide you with a link to submit the participation fee directly through The Pine School.

Please note that completing the paperwork does not automatically guarantee a roster spot. Once a student has been determined eligible, they may participate in the appropriate tryout/evaluation process for the sport.
