PINE Names New Boys Basketball Head Coach


Introducing Mike Chapman — Boys Basketball Varsity Head Coach

The Pine School is honored to announce the appointment of Michael Chapman as the new Head Coach for the Varsity Boys Basketball program. Coach Chapman possesses over a decade of experience within the highest echelons of collegiate athletics, having held key positions at the University of Florida, Murray State University, and Louisiana State University. During his tenure at Murray State, he was a member of the staff responsible for the development of NBA Draft selection Ja Morant and contributed to the attainment of multiple conference championships and appearances in the NCAA Tournament. At LSU, he fulfilled the role of assistant defensive coordinator while simultaneously managing comprehensive video and team operations. Most recently, Coach Chapman directed large-scale basketball events and programming as the Director of White Label Events at MADE Hoops.

A dedicated resident of the Martin County community, Coach Chapman brings not only elite collegiate experience but also a profound connection to the local area and the families we serve.

In addition to his extensive basketball expertise, Coach Chapman maintains a deep commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes, mentoring young individuals on the court, within the classroom, and throughout life. His coaching philosophy is centered upon fostering confidence, character, and competitive excellence. All values that are fundamental to the mission of The Pine School.
